His keynote session; “Unleash Your Sales Team's Potential in the New Economy” will provide best practices on the 7 skills of a high performance sales team, methods to attract and retain top sales performance, and how to leverage creativity to increase sales in today’s economy.

Keynote: Giselle Kovary

Giselle is the Practice Lead in Optimus SBR’s Learning & Development Group with over 25 years experience as a sought after resource to industry leaders across the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors dedicated to building strategies and programs that help clients target, motivate and engage employees in order to increase performance and productivity.

Giselle has devoted more 20 years to researching the impact that generational differences have on organizational performance, creating solutions and programs in five practice areas – sales & customer service, leadership, team building, Millennials & Gen Zs and HR. Giselle has co-authored two books: Loyalty Unplugged: How to Get, Keep & Grow All Four Generations and Upgrade Now: 9 Advanced Leadership Skills. Giselle also completed Canada’s first national survey on Gen Zs.

Giselle works collaboratively with executive stakeholders to ensure talent management solutions are tailored to an organization’s context and environment while positioning the organization for success and minimizing human capital risk.

 

Presentation title: Different Generational Approaches to Work: Leading & Engaging Multigenerational Workforce 

Presentation description:

Organizations today face the challenge of creating high-performing environments that produce results. The workforce is comprised of different generations, which may include Traditionalists, Baby Boomers, Gen Xers, Millennials and Gen Zs. Each of these cohorts possesses unique identities that translate into different behaviours in the workplace. It is important for every leader to be able to tap into the values and expectations of their multigenerational team members in order to increase levels of engagement and performance.

This highly interactive presentation begins with an overview of the different generations and how the generational identities translate into behaviours in the workplace, as it relates to loyalty, authority and work styles. Giselle will focus on what younger generations value and desire from their leaders and share research on Gen Zs. Giselle will then explore how to demonstrate organizational engagement to ensure leadership practices are transparent, responsive and partnering. There will also be some discussion regarding how the workplace reality has changed to one in which employees view themselves as equal partners in the employment relationship and the impact that has on day-to-day leadership practices. Each participant will leave the session with retention and engagement tips that can be applied right away.
